Our technicians fix computers every day and as such, we are very aware of the realities of computer repair. Micro Division fixes computers for both business users and home users and these short documents are made to inform you, as a Business User or Home User of the realities of computer repair so that our technicians can provide you with the best possible service. Please read these few pages carefully and don’t hesitate to ask your technician if you are unsure about anything.

HOW DO I JOIN AND END A REMOTE SESSION USING INTERNET EXPLORER

Joining a Session

  1. Open Internet Explorer (Start –> All Programs –> Internet Explorer)
  2. Browse to www.microdivision.co.za
  3. Click on the “Micro-D REMOTE SUPPORT TOOL ” Menu Option at the Bottom of the Page (Under the Heading ” Support “)
  4. When the Technician has created a session, it will be available for you to join by entering a code provided by the technician then clicking Join
  5. If you are Using Internet Explorer you will see a pop up box “Application Run – Security Warning” –> Click on Run
  6. Once you are connected, you will see the following tooltip in the lower right hand corner of the screen, as well as a small icon
  7. Ending a Session

In most cases, the Technician will end the session, but you may permanently end the session at any time by

  1. Right-clicking the Micro Division Remote icon in the system tray (bottom right)
  2. Selecting Exit.

HOW DO I JOIN AND END A REMOTE SESSION USING FIREFOX

Joining a Session

The easiest browser to use is Internet Explorer, but if you can not use Internet Explorer please see below for instructions on how to connect using Firefox

  1. Open Firefox (Shortcut on desktop or Start –> All Programs –> Mozilla Firefox)
  2. Browse to www.microdivision.co.za
  3. Click on the Remote icon (bottom left)
  4. When the Technician has created a session, it will be available for you to join by entering a code provided by the technician then clicking Join
  5. You will now be prompted to download the remote tool so click on Save File
  6. Once the file has been downloaded the Firefox Download widow should open up, now double click on the file Elsnore ScreeConnect.GuestClient.exe
  7. You will see a pop up box “Open File – Security Warning” –> Click on Run
  8. Once you are connected, you will see the following tooltip in the lower right hand corner of the screen, as well as a small icon
  9. Ending a Session

In most cases, the Technician will end the session, but you may permanently end the session at any time by

  1. Right-clicking the Micro Division Remote icon in the system tray (bottom right)
  2. Selecting Exit.

HOW DO I JOIN AND END A REMOTE SESSION USING GOOGLE CHROME

Joining a Session

The easiest browser to use is Internet Explorer, but if you can not use Internet Explorer please see below for instructions on how to connect using Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome (Shortcut on desktop or Start –> All Programs –> Google Chrome –> Google Chrome)
    1. Browse to www.justintech.co.nz
    2. Click on the Remote icon (bottom left)
    3. Install the ClickOnce for Google Chrome by going here –> Click + ADD TO CHROME –> Click Install –> now go back to the remote support page
    4. When the Technician has created a session, it will be available for you to join by entering a code provided by the technician then clicking Join
    5. You will now be prompted to download the remote tool so click on Save File
    6. Once the file has been downloaded the Firefox Download widow should open up, now double click on the fileElsnore ScreeConnect.GuestClient.exe
    7. You will see a pop up box “Open File – Security Warning” –> Click on Run
    8. Once you are connected, you will see the following tooltip in the lower right hand corner of the screen, as well as a small icon

IS THIS REMOTE SESSION SECURE?

Security

The Micro Division Remote Tool utilises its own proprietary protocol and utilizes an AES-256 encryption to secure the sessions. Each connection has it’s own session ID so we can only connect to you once.

You can see everything that the Technician is doing on your screen and at any stage you can disconnect us.

So yes it is secure.

Ending a Session

In most cases, the Technician will end the session, but you may permanently end the session at any time by

  1. Right-clicking the Just In Tech Remote icon in the system tray (bottom right)
  2. Selecting Exit.

  3. This will then connect you to a Micro Division technician

Don’t worry have no fear, we are probably just running some updates on our remote server, we can still use the alternative method above for remote support.
